Celebrating Mothers at the Ford House

May 10th

Spring has arrived! The flowers are starting to bloom and as Mother's Day approaches we seek the perfect way to honor the women we love. Edsel & Eleanor Ford House is celebrating the special women in our lives with the continuation of the Tribute Garden and the popular Mother's Day Brunch & Tour.

It's a gift that can be enjoyed all summer long. The Tribute Garden, located adjacent to the Visitor's Center, brims with vibrant colors, scents and serenity. It is the perfect place to honor a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister or friend, by recognizing them in the Garden. Tributes can also be made in remembrance of a loved one.

Tribute Garden contributions can be made until May 20. The deadline for having a Mother's Day card sent to your honoree is April 30th. Click here to get involved.

Mother's Day Brunch and Tour

Enjoy a lovely day with your favorite mother with a sumptuous brunch prepared by Chef Erik that feature Michigan spring salad, baked egg strata with spinach, fire-roasted red peppers and feta, blueberry French toast, asparagus with hollandaise sauce and more. A tour of the house and stroll the grounds rounds out the experience.

The 10:00 a.m. brunch is sold out, but there is still limited space available for the 2:00 p.m. seating. For complete menu and to make reservations, click here.

This 100% volunteer event has gathered over 628 tons of debris from the Lake St. Clair shoreline. Once again, we are encouraging everyone to join our efforts to clean the beaches and shoreline of Lake St. Clair. Volunteers are what made this event the success it has been in the past and it is the volunteers who will make this event a success this year. This has grown into a tremendous "done in a day event" - the largest in the midwest. This year's clean-up sites include Veteran's Memorial Park beach, Blossom Heath Park beach, the Champine Park shoreline and the Chapaton Retention Basin shoreline in St. Clair Shores. Some canal and shoreline homeowner groups will participate in this year's event by cleaning their beaches, canals and waterfront shorelines on the same day.
