Macomb Food Program Elimination Raffle

On Thursday, March 15, 2012 the Macomb Food Program will be holding the Elimination $10,000 Raffle.  The event will be held at Zuccaro Banquet & Catering on Gratiot Avenue in Chesterfield Township. 
 
The price is $140.00 per ticket which admits ticket purchaser and one guest.  The ticket purchaser is entered in the 2nd chance drawing.  The social mixer begins at 6:00 p.m. and the buffet dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. The Elimination Raffle begins at 7:00 p.m. but you need not be present to win. 
 
1st prize: $10,000
2nd prize: $500
3rd prize: $100
 
 
The mission of the Macomb Food Program is to feed the hungry in Macomb County.

Saturday, June 9th
If you are looking for a unique and cool way to kick off the warm-weather season, consider participating in Macomb County’s Sprint and Splash event. This first-ever event is coming to the Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township on Saturday, June 9, at Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township. The event will begin with a Duathlon, a race that will combine two sports: running (5 kilometers) and kayaking (5 kilometers). Shortly after the start of the Duathlon will be 5K Fun Run and Walk. Following the completion of both events there will be a World Paddle Association Sanctioned Stand-Up Paddleboarding competition.

Wednesdays this Spring
Join the Ford House for Wild Wednesday Walks, a new series of adventures for families to discover the Ford House landscape together. Unless otherwise noted, walks are led by local science teacher and musician Russ Glenn and feature games, music, and activities. Walks being at 6:00 p.m. and are $5.00 for members and $7.00 for non-members. Come early and enjoy a casual dinner grilled by the pool house.

The second annual Nautical Mile Restaurant Week is a ten-day culinary event celebrating St. Clair Shores' delicious dining establishments. Held from Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 10, 2012, eight restaurants in St. Clair Shores will offer special fixed price three-course lunch and dinner menus starting at just $20.00 per person. Beverages, gratuity, and taxes are not included in the rate. No tickets or passes are necessary, and diners can participate as frequently as they would like over the ten-day period. While advance reservations are not required, they are strongly encouraged by contacting participating restaurants directly. Tuesdays and Saturdays starting May 29th
Start your day with "Yoga on the Beach" overlooking the lake at Lake St. Clair Metropark, near Mount Clemens, on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8am - 9am beginning Tuesday, May 29. Instructor Tom King teaches yoga in its basic form; people of all levels of expertise are encouraged to attend.
