2017 Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival

Wednesday, June 21st - Sunday, June 25th

The 2017 Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival runs Wednesday, June 21st through Sunday, June 25th. With many fun-filled events lined up there are things to do for the whole family!


The Miss Bay-Rama Pageant begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Festival Tent. Miss Bay-Rama and her court members will each receive a $500 scholarship. Applications are being accepted until June 9th.


The Bay-Rama Fabulous Fishfly Fireworks will start on Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 at dusk in Walter & Mary Burke Park on Front Street. Come down early to pick your favorite viewing spot! Top Dog Entertainment will be playing great music while we wait for the fireworks to begin!! Rain out date is Friday, June 23rd.  


The Anchor Bay Charities Fun Run will take place Saturday, June 24th. This 5k Fishfly Run will loop around downtown New Baltimore and all proceeds will be used to support ShelterBox USA plus local literacy and college scholarship grants. On-site registration opens at 7:15 a.m., run starts at 8:30 a.m. Registration fee after 6/1/17 is $25, and there will be awards for the overall male and female winners.


The 10th annual Cardboard Boat Race will take place on Saturday, June 24th. Registration begins at 2:30 p.m., boat building goes from 3-4:30 p.m., and the race is at 4:30-5 p.m. There is a $10 registration fee, per team, and each team must consist of 4 members with one over the age of 18. The 53rd Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival Parade will start on Sunday, June 25th at 1pm. The parade runs along Green St, and will start at the Dairy Queen and ends 1/4th a mile from Country Line Road. The parade is sponsored by MEIJER, and features the Anchor Bay Tars Marching Band, Fire Trucks, local businesses, and organization entries.
