Whatever your favorite recreational activity, whether it’s bird watching, windsurfing, kite boarding, boating, bicycling, or swimming, you can find it at Lake St. Clair Metropark. Known for decades as "Metro Beach," this has been a popular destination for more than 50 years. Here, park users come out to bike, hike, jog, or in-line skate on the paved trail that runs along a one-mile shoreline on picturesque Lake St. Clair. Enjoy a day of boating with three marinas and eight ramps that provide easy access to Lake St. Clair waters.

PARK HOURS: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays through Labor Day.Park hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. the rest of the year.A Metropark vehicle entry permit is required: Annual - $25 regular/$15 senior citizens or Daily - $5.
SPRAYPARK:The “Squirt Zone,” a zero-depth water sprayscape, features one-quarter of an acre of water sprays where kids can cool off.Free.
SWIMMING:The Olympic-sized swimming pool, with two waterslides, will be open daily starting May 29.Pool hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.Fee:$4 per person.The 600-foot long sandy beach on Lake St. Clair opens May 1, and will be open daily through September 30, without lifeguards.

BOATING:Three marinas, boat launch ramps and a day sail area provide access to Lake St. Clair.Metropark Boat Launch Permit required: Annual – regular $30, senior citizen $15, or Daily $5. Non-motorized, non-registered watercraft, such as kayaks, canoes, sailboards and rubber inflatables, that are not brought in on trailers do not require a boat permit.
NEW MARINA: The new South Marina at Lake St. Clair Metropark, which replaced the original built in 1959, offers 48 boat slips, a bathroom/shower building, pump-out station, seawall, sidewalks and harbormaster building.Reservations for the South Marina will be taken through the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Harbor Reservations at www.midnrreservations.com.

DANCING/CONCERTS:A variety of live music, from oldies to swing, is played on Sundays, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Summer Sundays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Concert series feature a mix of Ballroom Swing and popular genres.
