About MBIA - Michigan Boating Industries Association

Welcome to the Michigan Boating Industries Association which represents more than 380 marine businesses in Michigan. Contact them to find the nearest marine business offering exactly what you need: new/used boats, motors, trailers, dockage, storage, repair, boat shows and more. The MBIA also had important safety information; interesting boatins tips and ideas; and important calender announcements for major boating events such as the Detroit Boat Show and the Spring Boating Show.

If you love boating and the pristine waters of Michigan you’ll want to join the Boaters Association of Michigan (BAM) and make frequent visits to their website, which unites all boating enthusiasts whether you fish Michigan’s lakes, rivers and streams, cruise on the big waters of our Great Lakes, or ski across the glassy waters of quiet inland lakes. We all share the love of water, the desire to protect it and the ability to enjoy boating in the great state of Michigan.

This website offers boating enthusiasts a comprehensive resource to all things boating.  BAM is dedicated to protecting boating and preserving water quality and access by uniting the voice of Michigan’s boating enthusiasts. Here are some additional highlights of this new, non-profit association:

BAM serves as the voice for Michigan boaters and works to protect boating, Michigan's water resources and access to them for all boating enthusiasts in Michigan. BAM provides representation in Lansing and works to advance and protect boating in Michigan through consistant monitoring and action.  Membership will allow you to support your passion and will keep you informed and involved with boating issues important to you.

BAM educates members and the public on important issues related to boating and fishing in Michigan. BAM advocates for the wise and scientific management of Michigan's water resources through public policy, coalition building and responsible boater actions. To facilitate this goal, the association maintains working relationships with boaters, the media, state and federal agencies, legislators, and other key leaders to influence the direction of boating issues.

BAM Member Discounts - Show your BAM Membership card and receive a variety of discounts or incentives at designated MBIA member and sponsor locations and at the three MBIA produced shows, The Detroit Boat Show, Great Lakes Outdoor Recreation Expo and the Spring Boating Expo.

BAM Communication - Members of BAM will be kept up-to-date on the boating industry, mainly through timely newsletters through fax, email or mail. Newsletters will contain important legislative information, boating updates and other concerns that may arise for public boaters.

The success of our association relies on the strength of our membership. Members are diverse in their boating interests, yet all share a deep commitment to stewardship of boating and to the preservation of Michigan's waters and access to it.
