Ted Everingham has made a career of advising businesses and business people, who know and appreciate him as a creative, results-oriented attorney with a strong background in general corporate law, securities regulation, complex negotiations and mergers, acquisitions and other major business transactions. Ted consistently has demonstrated –
  • Extensive experience with manufacturing, R&D, healthcare, retail and service businesses, including publicly and privately held enterprises of all sizes
  • Excellent leadership and analytical skills and a strong team-building background
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • A firm understanding of the business consequences of his legal advice
In addition to his extensive legal expertise, Ted is the host of a TV program called GREAT LAKES LOG--a show that deals with interesting people, places and activities on the Great Lakes and Lake St. Clair.

Ted Everingham began his life-long love of the Great Lakes as a youngster in Southwest Michigan, fishing on small inland lakes and frolicking on the beaches of Lake Michigan, and later in Jackson, Michigan. He came to the Detroit area after graduating from Albion College (1961) and The University of Michigan Law School (1964).
Ted learned to sail at the Detroit Yacht Club in the late 1960s where he later taught sailing. His introduction to big boat sailing and the Bayview Mackinac Race eventually took him to Bayview Yacht Club where he chaired the Bayview Mackinac Race in 1994 and 1999 and served as Commodore in 2003.

A busy business lawyer with offices in Grosse Pointe Park, Ted still finds time to sail and run and judge sailing races. He has covered the Bayview Mackinac Race for WJR and lectures frequently about that classic race, the racing rules of sailing and a variety of related subjects. While sailing is Ted's passion, he enjoys being on the water any way he can, whenever he can, and messing around in boats.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Lake St. Clair Tourism Initiative.
Ted hopes that Great Lakes Log will create a greater appreciation of the vast recreational and commercial resource available to us here on the "sixth Great Lake" and the enormous freshwater system of which it is a part.

GREAT LAKES LOG is seen in the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods on Comcast channels 5 and 915 in the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods, on WOW channel 10 in Grosse Pointe Woods and on AT&T U-Verse® channel 99 in more than 140 communities in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, Monroe, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties at 4:30 a.m. and 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
