    If you are looking for a unique and cool way to kick off the warm-weather season, consider participating in Macomb County’s Sprint and Splash event. This first-ever event is coming to the Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township on Saturday, June 9, at Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township. The event will begin with a Duathlon, a race that will combine two sports: running (5 kilometers) and kayaking (5 kilometers). Shortly after the start of the Duathlon will be 5K Fun Run and Walk. Following the completion of both events there will be a World Paddle Association Sanctioned Stand-Up Paddleboarding competition.

    Join the Ford House for Wild Wednesday Walks, a new series of adventures for families to discover the Ford House landscape together. Unless otherwise noted, walks are led by local science teacher and musician Russ Glenn and feature games, music, and activities. Walks being at 6:00 p.m. and are $5.00 for members and $7.00 for non-members. Come early and enjoy a casual dinner grilled by the pool house.
